Mr. Brecht has been working in public
education since 1996. He came to
District #112 in 2005 and has served as
Assistant Principal at Chaska High
School, Facilitator of the District #112
Design Team, and now has been the
Principal for Chaska High School since
January 2008. Prior to coming to
District #112, Mr. Brecht worked in the
Hopkins School District as Counselor;
Testing Coordinator; Academic and Career
Planning Specialist; and Coordinator for
Data, Records, and Scheduling.
Ms. Fontes has been privileged to be a
public educator since 1986. She taught
secondary math, phy ed and drivers
education for six years in North Dakota.
Previous experiences also include
elementary and secondary counseling,
most recently at Waconia High School for
11 years. Ms. Fontes came to Chaska High
School in the fall of 2005 as a
Counselor/Dean. After serving two years
in that capacity, she served as Lead
Counselor/Administrative Dean until 2008
when she became an Assistant Principal.
In high school, Mr. Stein was a three
sport athlete. He went on to play
baseball at the University of Minnesota,
later for the Chaska Cubs. In addition
to teaching Math at Chaska & Edina High
Schools, Mr. Stein has coached at the
youth, high school and college levels
over the past 11 years, most recently
serving as the Hawks co-head baseball
coach. Mr. Stein will currently be
overseeing all athletic programs at
Chaska High School.
Mr. Swearingen has been working in
public education since 1993 and at CHS
since 2005. He currently is an Assistant
Principal at Chaska High School,
responsible for daily operations,
activities, discipline, security,
testing, and transportation. Previously,
Mr. Swearingen has taught English and
French, served as a Program Coordinator
and as a High School Administrator.
