Grading
Final grades will be a combination of scores from quizzes, tests, homework, classroom assignments, and participation points. Final grades will based on a percentage.
Homework Policy
1. It is essential that homework is completed in a timely manner.
2. If work is turned in late, the points possible for that assignment will decrease in value. This will continue until the highest possible grade becomes a D-.
For example: If a student turned in an assignment two
days late, the highest grade possible
would be a B+.
3. Late assignments will be accepted until the last day of the quarter.
Participation Points
1. Every student begins each week with 10 participation points.
2. These points can be taken away for disrespectful behavior, tardiness, or coming to class unprepared. These points will not be taken away for late assignments.
3. These points DO count towards the student's final grade.
