Attendance Area Transition Options

The School Board approved changes to school attendance areas that go into effect with the 2017-18 school year. None of the approved attendance area boundary changes will go into effect for the fall of 2016.

Students who reside in an area with a change will receive a letter outlining their transition options. Families will access these options using Campus Portal – look under “District Links” in the left navigation menu.

You will only see an attendance area change option in Campus Portal if you reside in an area that is changing. If you are not sure, first check your address in the new attendance areas, then contact the Welcome Center if you still have questions.

Early Entrance Option

Students may choose to start at their newly assigned school one year early through an “early entrance” option. The district will not provide transportation for students choosing this early entrance option. Transportation for the new boundaries begins in the fall of 2017.  Requests for early entrance can be made using Campus Portal. The deadline to request early entrance is July 1, 2016.

You will only see an attendance area change option in Campus Portal if you reside in an area that is changing. If you have questions, first check your address in the new attendance areas, then contact the Welcome Center if you have questions.
