Join us for a morning of free family fun to celebrate reading and the arts!

Saturday, February 24
9 am to Noon
Chanhassen High School

This year’s event features Douglas Wood, author-illustrator and accomplished musician and composer. Wood has written more than 30 books with over 2.5 million in print. Old Turtle is a famed international classic, and his What Grown-Ups Can’t Do books are kid favorites and New York Time bestsellers.

Douglas Wood signs and performs on guitar, banjo, and mandolin, often appearing with his Wild Spirit Band. Today, he visits schools across the country, inspiring them to create and share their own stories.

Hooked on Books…and the Arts, too! is a community-wide celebration in support of literacy and the arts. The event integrates literacy and the arts in an imaginative and innovative way through activities, performances, and books by local authors.  The annual event is a partnership between Eastern Carver County Schools Community Education and the Carver County Library.

This is the 13th annual Hooked on Books event – learn more HERE.
