Kelli Krick Oborn, Specialized Education Supervisor
Kellie has worked in the field of special education for more than 20 years. Most of her teaching career was with St. Paul and Minneapolis Schools, teaching in both mainstream and center-based special education classrooms. Most recently, she spent several years preparing special educators at the University of St. Thomas. Kellie supervises specialized education programs at Chaska Middle School East and West, Jonathan and Clover Ridge Elementary, and La Academia.

Michelle Cuka, Specialized Education Supervisor
Before joining E. Carver Co. Schools Specialized Services, Michele worked in St. Louis Park, New Prague and Shakopee. In her new role, she supervises the 9-12+ programs at STAR, Chaska High School, Chanhassen High School, Integrated Arts Academy, and the district’s 17-21 program.

Kim Franta, Nutrition Services Director
Prior to joining our district, Kim served as director of Nutrition Services at New Prague Area Schools for 3 ½ years. Before transitioning into schools, she worked in management operations with Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises and P.F. Chang’s China Bistro. In her role as Nutrition Services director, Kim provides leadership and direction for the Nutrition Services department which serves more than 9,600 students each day.

Gretchen Kleinsasser, Principal, La Academia & Kinder Academy
Gretchen joined the district in July as principal of La Academia, our two-way dual language Spanish immersion elementary school. The school also houses the district’s Kinder Academy program. She brings a mix of leadership experience working in a traditional immersion school and teaching in Mexico. Most recently, she worked in Eden Prairie Schools where she was associate principal of Oak Point Elementary School.

Michelle Milstein, Integration Equity Coordinator
Michelle comes to the district from Maine as a Great Schools Partnership Senior Associate where she coached educators and leaders in schools with a focus on instructional improvement and equity-driven reform. She is multilingual and has worked as an English, ELL, and Spanish teacher at the middle and high school levels in many regions of the United States. Michelle will supervisor the Intercultural Specialists and work with district and building staff in their equity work and coordinate the District Achievement and Integration Application.

Jim Muenzenmeyer, Buildings & Grounds Director
For the past 20 years, Jim has worked for the City of Manitowoc, WI, most recently as the Capital Projects, Safety & Transit Manager. He brings a wealth of knowledge from his past experience including buildings & grounds supervision, facility management, and building inspection.  Jim will join our district as buildings and grounds director in mid-December.
