Celi Haga has been named Eastern Carver County Schools’ Director of Communications and Community Relations.

Celi (pronounced “Kaylee”) earned the position after a thorough interview process that began with more than 60 applicants and included multiple rounds of interviews with various stakeholders. Currently Haga is the Legislative Coordinator for the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources. She has served in various positions of senior leadership and communication in both public and private organizations.

As a parent and resident of the district, Haga has deep knowledge of our community.  She has served in a variety of capacities as board member for the District 112 Foundation, a member of the District 112 Special Education Advisory Council, as well as a member of the Chaska Human Rights Commission. Haga will begin her duties in April. Her immediate focus will be on developing a comprehensive communication plan for equity, personalized learning, and to lead the communication efforts through the decision process for the November 2019 referendum.

Haga’s broad experience and community connections will make her a great fit for the direction in which Eastern Carver County Schools is headed.  We are proud to welcome her to our community of learners, teachers and all who work to benefit young people.
