Eastern Carver County School District is excited to name Erin Rathke as the next assistant superintendent of schools.  Rathke will start in mid-July and succeeds Amy LaDue, who departed the district in late June. Currently principal at Minneapolis Public Schools’ Justice Page Middle School, Rathke brings 20 years of diverse experience in urban and suburban districts to the role. She has held leadership and teaching roles at the middle and high school levels, as well as district level role in instructional development and support.  Rathke’s background positions her well to partner with principals and teaching staff to enhance Eastern Carver County Schools’ already strong academics.  She is a data-driven leader with a proven track record of success.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology health science from Concordia University. She has a master’s degree in social justice from St. Cloud State University, and an education specialist degree in administration from St. Cloud State University.

Rathke earned the position following a rigorous and thorough interview process that included multiple rounds of interviews with various stakeholders. Her experience in teaching and learning and her commitment to each student make her a great fit for Eastern Carver County Schools.  We are proud to welcome Erin to our community of learners, teachers, and all who work to benefit young people.
