Student Council is collecting new or gently-used shoes to help Soles4Souls wear out poverty.
One person’s unwanted shoes can help provide meaningful opportunities that many in developing nations need, which is why Chaska Middle School West Student Council is hosting its 2nd annual Shoe Drive to collect new or gently-used shoes May 6 – 24. Collection boxes are located outside the Office and in the Commons.
The shoes collected will be delivered to Soles4Souls – a non-profit social enterprise that creates sustainable jobs and provides relief through the distribution of shoes and clothing around the world. They believe that everyone around the world deserves a good pair of shoes. Last year we collected 80 pairs of shoes and hope to exceed that this year. Soles4Souls accepts all types of shoes as long as they are new or gently-worn including: athletic, dress, sandals, pumps, heels, work boots, cleats, dance, flip flops, etc.
