· If absent, it is the student's responsibility to get the missed notes and homework assignment(s). 

· If you know you are going to be absent in advance, please ask for assignments before you leave.

· Tardiness will not be tolerated.  1st tardy: Warning.  2nd: Detention.  3rd: Subsequent detentions and “hot list”.  (No more passes outside of the room.)

Pre College Math:

Course Description:  Precollege math is designed for college bound seniors with intended majors outside of math or science.  Students will study math concepts and applications to prepare them for a liberal arts college math requirement.  Specific topics will include problem solving, set theory, logic, number theory, equations and inequalities, graphs, functions, linear systems, consumer math, financial management, measurement, geometry, discrete math, and statistics.

Algebra 2:

Course Description:  Algebra 2 will expand and reinforce concepts learned in Algebra 1 as well as introduce new topics.  Specific topics include linear and quadratic functions, powers and roots, exponential and logarithmic functions, polynomials, sequences and series, and probability and statistics.

Geometry:

Course Description:  This course covers geometric concepts such as the fundamentals of one-dimensional, two-dimensional, and three-dimensional shapes, deductive and inductive proofs, lines, angles, triangles, circles, quadrilaterals, pyramids, cones, cylinders, spheres, area, volume, and similarity.
