Classroom Policies:

 

Classroom Rules / Expectations: 

*Come to class prepared to learn with all needed supplies.

*No Cell Phone or IPod use during the class period.  They will be taken away if used. 

*Keep up on homework assignments every day.  It makes the next lesson much easier to understand.

*Ask questions when needed or come in for extra help.

 

Attendance / Absences / Tardiness: 

Students are expected to attend class every day.  Students who are late to class will not be able to do the daily drill or 5 minute checks.  Students who are unexcused will not be allowed to make up the daily participation points or make up the work for the day.

 

Make-up Work / Late Work: 

Students will be expected to turn in work on time.  Students that have make up work are expected to work with the teacher to establish appropriate due dates for the make-up work.

Algebra 2

Prerequisite:   Geometry

 

Course Description:  This course emphasizes linear and quadratic forms, powers and roots, and functions based on these concepts.  Students study logarithmic, polynomial, and other special functions.  This course is designed for the needs of students planning to attend college.  Students need a graphing calculator.  (TI-83+ or similar is required.)
