BELIEFS/PHILOSOPHY

Learning another language:

  • Improves a student’s capacity to reason, conceptualize, analyze, and solve problems, as well as increase proficiency in his or her own language.
  • Improves standardized test scores and performance in other subjects.
  • Increases the ability to interact at home and abroad (via the internet, travel, jobs, academics) in a global community and helps to build political, economic, and social skills.
  • Builds community by creating empathy and an understanding of other cultures, as well as our own.
  • Prepares students for intermediate and advanced college language courses.   This can save a student time and thousands of dollars in college tuition.
  • Improves Proficiency in student’s own language.
