Sixth Graders!
Welcome to Chaska Middle School West! As a sixth grader, you have the opportunity to attend an educational experience of a lifetime to Deep Portage Conservation Reserve in Hackensack, Minnesota! Some of the fabulous activities you may get to participate in include the following: archery, bog hiking, canoeing, orienteering, pioneer Olympics, survival, team activities, night stalkers, wolf howling, campfire, and a climbing wall (different activities will be offered depending on weather).

This trip is an overnight nature and camping experience with the following goals:
*Students who choose not to attend this education experience will attend school with CMSW staff on those three days and will participate in alternate experiences.

Mandatory Chaperone Meeting Date Sept. 13, 2007, @ 8:00pm All parent chaperones, for CMSW, will be chosen from those attending this meeting, (Although, if you attend this meeting it does not guarantee your name to be chosen for a chaperone spot. We are only allowed to take a limited number of male and female chaperones). |
The total cost for the Deep Portage trip is $135.00 (less any fundraising), and the total cost for the alternate experience is $50.00. The final payment is due Friday, September 14th.
