An Environmentally Friendly Future City…
Task:
Choose a biome/ecosystem that would be the best for your city, and preserve the biome/ecosystem as much as possible while constructing the city. You want to have the least amount of impact possible on the biome/ecosystem, while still allowing for the well-being of your citizens. You and your partner will be developing an environmental impact statement that outlines the qualities of the biome/ecosystem and proposes a plan for preservation to the “City Planning Commission” in the form of a PowerPoint.
To make a decision, the City Planning Commission has requested some information. They have 2 main goals:
- preserving the habitat for all of the existing organisms
- maintaining a natural setting for existing organisms and incoming citizens
