7th Grade ART WORKSHEETS

Welcome to 7th grade art, a one-quarter exploratory class based on investigation and creation of art work from Gothic castles to the post impressionist era.

In this class, students engage in learning about artists like Michelangelo, Rembrandt, Seurat, Monet, Rube Goldberg, and da Vinci.  The projects students make  reflect the styles and approaches of these artists, from clay sculpture and personal portraiture to cartoon inventions and illustration fantasy.  Students are encouraged to explore their own personal aesthetic through decision-making and experimentation while creating in a variety of mediums, and much of the learning in Art 7 focuses on skills and methods of using these materials to successfully convey ideas.  The correlation of art to the individual life, both inside and outside school is important, with the expectation and goal that each student achieve their personal best.
