8 ELECTIVE ART
|
Art 7 Elective is a course designed to allow students to explore many areas of art. The class meets every other day for an entire semester and focuses on both two-dimensional and three-dimensional projects. Students will have the opportunity to work with many different mediums. Art work will be made with pencil, colored pencil, marker, crayon, tempera paint, papier-mache, and clay. Students will increase their knowledge and skill level in drawing, painting, designing, and sculpting, as well as gain a better understanding of color, value, balance, pattern, texture, line, and more! As an elective class, Art 7 Elective teaches students some cultural and historical background in all areas of art as well as providing a fun class to let seventh graders be creative and produce interesting works of art! This class is highly recommended for students who have an interest in visual arts. Those who want to show their creativity or learn about and experience types of art that aren't always included in the Art 7 curriculum...this is the class for you!
