8th Grade ART WORKSHEETS

Welcome to 8th grade art, a one-quarter exploratory class based on investigation and creation of art work in 20th century and beyond!

In this class, students engage in learning about artists like Pablo Picasso, Jackson Pollock, and Andy Warhol  while considering their impact on modern art and our contemporary world.  The projects students make  reflect the styles and approaches of these artists, yet encourage students to explore their own personal aesthetic through decision-making and experimentation.  Students find a variety of mediums available as they create, and much of the learning in Art 8 focuses on skills and methods of using these materials to successfully convey ideas.  The correlation of art to the individual life, both inside and outside school is important, with the expectation and goal that each student achieve their personal best.
