We are rehearsing on Thursday, May 22 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. at CMS-West.
GARAGE BAND
Summer Garage Band will perform at River City Days at 4
p.m. in downtown Chaska on Saturday, July 26
The Chaska Middle School Garage Band program offers students an opportunity to perform in a rock and roll ensemble. Students learn about rock music, the technique involved to play on rock instruments, how to work together as a band, improvisation and stage presence.
Students must audition for the Garage Band. It is recommended that students who are interested have had at least two years of lessons on their instrument. We are looking for vocalists,

guitarists, bass guitarists, keyboardists and drummers. Other instruments (such as sax, trumpet and trombone) are considered.
The Garage Band rehearses on Fridays after school in the CMS-West Band room from January through March. They perform at the Chaska Youth Rock Festival in May, the CMS-West Talent Show in February, the Community Education Youth Recognition Night in March, CJ's Coffee Shop in Chanhassen and other venues.
The Garage Band performed at the Minnesota Music Educator's Association State Conference in 2006.
