This is a brand new course that Chaska Middle School-West is offered during the 06-07 school year.  Both the Indigo Loon and Lemon Lynx families had a section of this course which met every other day during 1st semester.  We are still waiting to see if this course will be offered again during the 07-08 school year.

Students for this course are chosen based on their performance during their 6th and 7th grade years.  Each class is divided into three chamber ensembles:  Woodwind Ensemble, Brass Ensemble and Percussion Ensemble.  Students spend time learning music within their ensemble as well as working on lesson material (students enrolled in this course do not receive a weekly band lesson during 1st semester).  At the conclusion of the semester, students perform a spaghetti dinner concert.
