  As the gifted and talented specialist for Chaska Middle School West I advocate for gifted and talented students and their families to provide the best educational fit District #112 can provide while your student is enrolled at Chaska Middle School West in grades six, seven and eight.


     After receiving an undergraduate degree in Fine Art, I completed a masters program  at Mankato State University as well as a specialist licensure in Talent Development.

     As past president of the Metro area Minnesota Educators of the Gifted and Talented I have the opportunity to network with most of the state’s gifted educators and national experts in the field of gifted education. This exposure to the newest information on the state’s efforts toward gifted education is then shared with the CMSW staff for transfer into the classroom.


     My husband and I blended six children who we truly enjoy. Adolescent electricity and drive are a very interesting ingredient in middle level gifted education.
