Chaska Middle School Activities
Student Council: Open to all students. Representative are chosen from our school "families" and by application in the fall. The Council meets once a month to plan school parties, our magazine sale, special school spirit days, and community service projects such as the food drive. Student council members serve for an entire year.
Year Book Open to all students. Student apply to become members of the year book committee in the fall. This group meets and is a yearlong commitment.
Knowledge Master: Competitions are held in the late fall and early spring and really test your memory and brain power. The team practice yearlong during lunch periods.
Mentorship: Through a selection process in the spring, students are paired up with community members to intern in professions such as veterinary medicine, computer networking, radio, writing, publication and theatre, to name a few.
Club Mid: An organization of parents, District 112 Staff, and staff from local community education services offer opportunities to participate in different activities, hobbies, and interests. These activities change in the fall, winter, and spring.
Grade Level Parties: Themed parties for students in each grade level are offered two times per year. These parties start right after school and students need to be picked up by 5:00p.m. These parties are organized and managed by the student council and volunteer chaperones.
Bugs Homework Club: Meets 1-2 days a week from 2:30-4:30p.m. after school. All students may join this club. This club typically starts the second or third month of school and ends in April or May. Contact school counselors for registration information.

Students in grades 7 and 8 may try-out for positions on the teams listed above.
Registration for high school activities must be done through the High School. Please phone 952-556-7135 for more information.
Participation fees for high school activities vary for each activity.
Students will be required to have proof of a current physical prior to registration.
*OTHER ACTIVITIES AND SPORTS WILL BE OFFERED THROUGH CLUB MID AND COMMUNITY EDUCATION
