How does ECFE connect to communities, learning & you?

Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) is:

  • A fun, safe environment for families to discover and learn together.

  • Weekly playtime and parent education for parents and their children.

  • A Community Education program for ALL families with children beginning at birth up to kindergarten.

What are ECFE classes like?

Typically, ECFE classes last 1 1/2 hours and the components of most sessions are:

Parent/Child Interaction Time

Together, parents and children enjoy learning through art, music, stories and a variety of developmental activities.

Guided Play for Child Only

The remaining class time is for the children to have fun learning through play using art, music, science, movement and stories with a licensed children's teacher.

Parent Discussion Time

Parents join others in an informal group setting led by a licensed Parent Educator. Parents have the opportunity to choose and discuss current family topics, share ideas and feel encouraged by the support of others.
