Pay rates:
  • Custodial, Food Service, Instructional Paraprofessional, Club Care and Clerical Substitutes are paid $12.25/hour
  • Special Education Paraprofessionals are paid $13.00/hour
  • Nurse Substitutes are paid $22.00/hour
  • Teacher Substitutes are paid $120.00/day
Short call substitute licenses
Eastern Carver County Schools will accept two-year short call substitute licenses for the 2017-18 school year. You can apply for this licensure through the Minnesota Dept of Education if you have a Bachelor’s degree.
Please complete an online application (Job ID #4974).  When your application is complete and submitted contact Stacy Schulze to have your application screened.  AFTER your application has been screened and accepted you will receive an email with payroll paperwork and background check instructions.  There will also be information regarding a separate training specific to 2-year short call substitutes.  This also applies to persons holding 2-year licenses that are subbing in other districts.  Training will be paid at $120 per day upon completion of five full days of substituting in District 112.

If you are a current Eastern Carver County Schools teacher and you will be retiring soon, consider becoming a substitute teacher.

Pay is $125/day for any absence over four hours in length, $62.50 for any absence four hours or under in length. Pay is direct deposited twice per month on the 15th and the last day of the month
You can customize AESOP to your preferences.  You can choose which schools you’ll accept jobs from, what times you would like to be called, what days you are not available to work and more!

Welcome! Employees working 30 hours or more per week qualify for benefits.  The district’s benefit summary book as well as the cost/premium sheets can be found below.  You share the costs of some benefits (medical and dental), and based on your specific contract, Eastern Carver County Schools provides other benefits at little or no cost to you (Life, Long-Term Disability).
