District continues to meet federal guidelines in monitoring air quality and asbestos

Independent School District 112 Indoor Air Quality Notice
Independent School District #112 is proud to provide a safe, productive environment for learning. We support the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) recommendations for improving the quality of our indoor air by preventing as many indoor air quality (IAQ) problems as possible, and by quickly responding to any IAQ concerns that may arise.

By contacting the District's IAQ Coordinator, school employees, students and parents can report concerns and obtain checklists or self-help information that can help them properly evaluate their home or other out-of-school situation. Employees and parents can also obtain information about school facility construction, maintenance and housekeeping practices, chemicals used, mold, HVAC and other related information that impact indoor air quality. The Independent School District #112 Indoor Air Quality Coordinator is Chris Pint, 952-556-6294.

District remains in compliance with Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act
District 112 has been working diligently to remain in compliance with the federal Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA). During the past school year regular periodic inspections and maintenance were performed as required by law. The following activities were completed:
