PRFC student wins regional Doodle 4 Google competition

Congratulations to Rebecca Olene, a freshman at Pioneer Ridge Freshman Center, for doodling her way to the top! Earlier this year, Rebecca submitted her entry to the Doodle 4 Google competition, an online national contest inviting kids in grades K-12 to submit their creative doodles for display on the Google homepage. Rebecca was selected as one of the 40 best entries in the country from a pool of thousands of submissions.

As a regional winner, Rebecca and her family will travel to Google headquarters in California later this month where the four national finalists and the national winner will be announced. Rebecca is competing via public vote for the national title and the chance to win a $25,000 technology grant for District 112.

Let's all help Rebecca doodle her way to success by voting for her design. You can see Rebecca's drawing and cast your vote Monday, May 12th through Sunday, May 18th at www.google.com/doodle4google/.
