[español] Getting ready for life after high school"The future is not some place we are going to, but one we are creating."John Schaar Today's high school program is about much more than earning a diploma. It's about planning and managing your high school career in a way that positions you for your future. The choices you make in grades 9-12 are the key to the choices you'll have after you graduate. In redesigning the secondary program in the Eastern Carver County Schools, we committed to preparing each of our learners for the successful completion of a post-secondary educational program. We are ready to work with you as you explore your interests and options in the years ahead. We will see that you have the opportunities you need to prepare for that next step in life. You, too, have responsibilities for the future. We can't tell you what post-secondary program is right for you. And we won't prescribe the career you should pursue as an adult. Those decisions are yours alone. We can, however, help connect you to resources that will help you to make those decisions in informed and responsible ways. That's the purpose of this webpage. We hope you will look through the information here and use it as you make the decisions that create your future. If you have questions about the resources you find here, don't hesitate to talk to your counselor. |
