Ingolstadt to Chaska exchange (tentative):         April 2009

Chaska to Ingolstadt exchange (tentative):         June/July 2009

 

Participating Chaska German students will host a student in their homes for 3 weeks when the Germans visit Chaska in April 2009.  Then Chaska students will travel to Germany in June of 2009 and stay with the families of their exchange partners. 

 

Proposed itinerary:  depart Minneapolis to Frankfurt, Germany.  Travel to Ingolstadt where we will stay with host families and attend school.  Possible excursions include tours of Dachau Concentration Camp, city of Munich, the medieval city Rothenburg, Salzburg, Austria and/or King Ludwig’s Castles. After a 3 week stay we will fly home from Frankfurt.

 

Estimated costs:   $2100 (high estimate including all airfare, land transportation, excursions while in Ingolstadt and spending money) 

 

 

Eligibility:                 1.    Having completed German I with at least a C average. 

2.       Completing an written application and interview with Frau Roepke.

3.  Being able to host a German (or finding a suitable nearby host family for partner while he/she is in Chaska AND remaining involved in exchange). 

4.        Attending 90% of all pre-trip meetings.  

5.        Obtaining two teacher recommendations.
