Over the course of the 10-year levy, all buildings will receive funds for technology improvements.Here is what all school buildings can expect over the first two years of the 10-year plan:
Additional technology improvements will be made to each building in the first two years of the 10-year plan: Kindergarten Center: Sound reinforcement systems to ensure all students can hear the teacher, wireless access to use devices anywhere in the building, two mobile carts of iPads, interactive whiteboards Victoria Elementary: two additional mobile carts of iPads, interactive teaching devices Bluff Creek Elementary: two additional mobile carts of iPads Chaska Elementary: two additional mobile carts of iPads, interactive whiteboards, sound reinforcement systems Chanhassen Elementary: two additional mobile carts of iPads, sound reinforcement systems Clover Ridge Elementary: two additional mobile carts of iPads, interactive teaching devices* East Union Elementary: improved wireless access to use devices anywhere in the building, an additional mobile cart of iPads Jonathan Elementary: two additional mobile carts of iPads, interactive teaching devices* Pioneer Ridge Middle School: updated and expanded Project Lead the Way program equipment, introduction of sound reinforcement systems, wireless access across the building, support for accessing electronic science curriculum materials, classroom responders Chaska Middle School East: updated and expanded Project Lead the Way program equipment, introduction of sound reinforcement systems, wireless access across the building, support for accessing electronic science curriculum materials, classroom responders Chaska Middle School West: updated and expanded Project Lead the Way program equipment, introduction of sound reinforcement systems, wireless access across the building, support for accessing electronic science curriculum materials, classroom responders Chanhassen High School: Updated and expanded Project Lead the Way program equipment, support for a pilot program that will test the benefits of allowing students to use their own technology devices at school, improved and expanded online courses Chaska High School: Updated and expanded Project Lead the Way program equipment, support for a pilot program that will test the benefits of allowing students to use their own technology devices at school, improved and expanded online courses, sound reinforcement systems, complete wireless access throughout building, update computer labs In addition, our teachers will receive training to use the new technology. The Board will use the small increase in State aid to fund teacher training. A successful referendum would also ensure that our current technology, computer labs, for instance, will be replaced as needed in the years ahead.
