Your student may qualify for educational benefits. Qualifying for educational benefits may grant your student access to reduced or waived school-based fees including:
● technology insurance
● athletics and activities
● community education classes
● field trips
● parking

Additionally, it may qualify your family for discounts in the community such as:
● 50% off Southwest Transit
● Free membership to the Children’s Museum
● Summer EBT benefits (SUN Bucks)
Educational benefit data also qualifies our school district for additional funding that is critical to support the needs of students.

To ensure that we have your application for educational benefits processed for the start of the school year, apply online through MySchoolApps which you can access at myschoolapps.com.

Provides a pack of food meant to cover a meal over the weekend for a student. All students in a family are eligible to participate. Speak to your school social worker or counselor to sign up for the program. 

Scholarship application that will reduce or waive fees associated with some student activities, field trips, athletics, Advanced Placement test fees and other authorized district functions.  Complete and return to principal or high school activity office. Link to form: English, Spanish, Somali  

17-21 Program
17-21 Program can be accessed by any student between the ages of 17-21 who are enrolled at the IAA, an alternative high school, or not enrolled in school and who need to recover up to 12 high school credits for degree achievement.

Achieve
After school programming for academic support available at all District schools open to students who qualify. Referrals are initiated through the individual's school.

Contact: Referrals are generally made through a building dean or principal, contact your building staff for more information. 

Credit Recovery
Credit recovery is available to all high school students who are behind in the number of credits they need to attain for their grade level. Programming is held after school.

Targeted Services
Description: After school programming for academic support available at all District elementary schools to elementary school students who qualify. Referrals are initiated through the individual's school.

AIM
Description: The vision of the AIM program is to model and teach students lifelong independent living, academic and social skills along with behavioral regulation to be contributing members of their school and community. Students will be provided exceptional, personalized learning with structured and supportive specialized education services to meet individual student needs and to achieve their personal best.

Locations: CHN, JES, VES, CMSW, and CNS

ASPIRE
Description: The vision of the ASPIRE program is to help students develop social skills, self-advocacy skills, and emotional and behavioral regulation in order to independently participate in their school and community. Students will be provided exceptional, personalized learning with structured and supportive specialized education services to meet individual student needs and to achieve their personal best.

Discover
Description: The vision of the DISCOVER program is to model and teach students lifelong independent living, communication and academic skills to be contributing members of their school and community. Students will be provided exceptional, personalized learning with structured and supportive specialized education services to meet individual student needs and to achieve their personal best.

Locations: CHN, JES, CMSW, and CNS

Embark 
Description: The vision of the EMBARK program is to provide each student with highly structured and supportive specialized education services with supports in their least restrictive environment. The focus is to help students develop social, self-advocacy and academic skills along with emotional and behavioral regulation. Students will be provided exceptional, personalized learning with structured and supportive specialized education services to meet individual student needs and to achieve their personal best.

Locations: BCE, CMSE and CNS

Check and Connect
Description: Program offered in some of the District 112 schools. Offers mentoring by school staff for students who are in extra need of support at school. Check and Connect is a program created by the University of Minnesota.  Students often receive this support as an intervention or based on a demonstrated need.
