Your student may qualify for educational benefits. Qualifying for educational benefits may grant your student access to reduced or waived school-based fees including:

District Education Programs
17-21 Program
17-21 Program can be accessed by any student between the ages of 17-21 who are enrolled at the IAA, an alternative high school, or not enrolled in school and who need to recover up to 12 high school credits for degree achievement.

Achieve
After school programming for academic support available at all District schools open to students who qualify. Referrals are initiated through the individual's school.
Contact: Referrals are generally made through a building dean or principal, contact your building staff for more information.
Credit Recovery
Credit recovery is available to all high school students who are behind in the number of credits they need to attain for their grade level. Programming is held after school.

Targeted Services
Description: After school programming for academic support available at all District elementary schools to elementary school students who qualify. Referrals are initiated through the individual's school.

Center-Based Programs
AIM
Description: Providers Independent living skills and social and behavioral regulation learning in a center based programming model. Students must have areas of significant needs with more than 60% of their day needing specialized educational services. Classroom has 8-10 students with one licensed SPED teacher and paraprofessional support. Students must work with special education team and building coordinator while attempting all possible specialized educational interventions in the least restrictive environment prior to entering the AIM program.
Locations: CVR, CMSW, and CNS
ASPIRE
Description: The program is to help students develop social skills, self advocacy skills and emotional and behavioral regulation in order to independently participate in their school and community. Services are provided in a variety of ways, including, individual and small group instruction in the center based classroom for all or part of the day, services may also be provided in the general education classroom. Classroom has 8-10 students with one licensed SPED teacher and paraprofessional support. Students must work with special education team and building coordinator while attempting all possible specialized educational interventions in the least restrictive environment prior to entering the ASPIRE program.

Discover

Embark
Description: The EMBARK program provides students with structured and supportive specialized education services with supports needed to access the general education setting when appropriate. The focus to help students develop social skills, self advocacy skills, and emotional and behavioral regulation. Classroom has 8-10 students with one licensed SPED teacher and paraprofessional support. Students must work with special education team and building coordinator while attempting all possible specialized educational interventions in the least restrictive environment prior to entering the AIM program.

Mentoring & Tutoring
Community Education Tutoring
Description: Many District 112 teachers offer private tutoring. Parents can use the link to find a tutor, parents may contact the individual tutor directly. Scheduling, payment and room reservation (if using a District space) will be managed directly with the tutor you select. All tutors list on the webpage are currently employed licensed teachers within District 112, they have passed all District-required background checks. Community Education is only providing this list as a resource to families and cannot guarantee the quality of any listed tutor beyond confirmation of their current teaching license and passed District background check.

Check and Connect
Description: Program offered in some of the District 112 schools. Offers mentoring by school staff for students who are in extra need of support at school. Check and Connect is a program created by the University of Minnesota. Students often receive this support as an intervention or based on a demonstrated need.
