Community Relations

To ensure that all parents are aware of what is happening in our schools, please keep your contact information up to date in Infinite Campus, the student data system.

You may also indicate a preference to receive messages in an alternate language within Infinite Campus. You just have to enter here and click on "Contact Preferences" in the side menu. At the bottom of the page you have the option to select your preferred language.

The means and immediacy of communication will depend on the scope of the event and on the potential or actual impact to the students. While it’s difficult to describe all possible scenarios, the following can be used a guide to gauge the District’s level of notification and systems used to communicate with families: 

Parents of those directly impacted by an incident should be contacted by administration as soon as possible after an event as occurred. In a moderate or high impact situation where communication goes out to a broader audience, those directly impacted should be notified first, with broader messaging going out to the larger audience once an investigation has been completed. 

Messages will be translated and, where time is a factor, direct outreach with access to a translator will be used to ensure parents are provided with information.  

If English isn’t the primary language in your household, please also make sure your preferences are updated in Infinite Campus.  ​Simply log in here​, then click on “Contact Preferences” in the side menu. At the bottom of the page you have the option of selecting your preferred language. 

Dado que muchas comunicaciones son específicas de un edificio, el mejor primer paso es ponerse en contacto con el administrador. Si la pregunta es más amplia o no está resuelta, póngase en contacto con el director de comunicaciones y relaciones con la comunidad del distrito. También puede indicar una preferencia para recibir mensajes en un idioma alternativo dentro de Infinite Campus. Sólo tiene que entrar aquí y hacer clic en "Preferencias de contacto" en el menú lateral. Al final de la página tiene la opción de seleccionar el idioma que prefiera.
