Leadership

Erin Rathke is a committed and results-driven educational leader with a passion for promoting academic excellence and student-centered learning. With over two decades of experience in both urban and suburban school districts, Erin has demonstrated a deep commitment to fostering growth and success for students and educators alike. Prior to moving into the Interim Superintendent position, she served as the Assistant Superintendent and Director of Teaching and Learning for Eastern Carver County School District. Erin has played a pivotal role in school performance turnarounds, strategic decision-making at the system-wide level, evaluating and expanding programming, and the development of strategic planning practices, as well as contributing to continuous school improvement initiatives that have yielded positive student outcomes.

Throughout Erin’s career, instructional leadership has been a cornerstone of her work. At Justice Page Middle School in Minneapolis Public Schools, where Mrs. Rathke served as Principal, her academic vision resulted in high growth rates at the middle school level district-wide. Justice Page Middle School went through a comprehensive school name change that was student-led. In collaboration with her staff, students, and community the school successfully elevated student voice to make a historical change in the school community. Erin is dedicated to using data-driven insights to inform decisions that promote academic achievement and equitable access to educational opportunities for all students. Beyond academic excellence, Erin has a commitment to creating a positive and inclusive school climate. She has demonstrated fostering increased family engagement, by increasing involvement, and diversity and encouraging collaboration among multiple stakeholders.

Mrs. Rathke is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Marymount University and is slated to defend her dissertation this spring. She has been a principal at the middle level, an assistant principal at the high school level, and a high school teacher. She has also held positions of School Improvement Specialist and Instructional Coach.
