ECCS names next principal of Chaska Middle School West

Eastern Carver County School District is excited to name Alicia Fischer as the next principal of Chaska Middle School West. Fischer will start her role on July 11. 

Fischer has over 20 years of diverse experience in education, serving most recently as Principal at Apollo High School in St. Cloud Area Schools. Prior to that position, she held the same role at McKinley Area Learning Center. She has also served as an assistant principal, instructional coach, and a physical education and health teacher. She received her bachelor’s degree from St. Cloud State, her Master’s in Health Education from Minnesota State University-Mankato, and is currently pursuing her doctorate in education from St. Cloud State University.

Fischer earned the position following a rigorous and thorough interview process that began with more than 25 applicants and included multiple rounds of interviews with various stakeholders. Her experience and commitment to student achievement and school improvement make her an outstanding fit for the district and Middle School West. We are proud to welcome Alicia to our community of learners, teachers, and all who work to benefit young people.
