La Academia and Kinder Academy learning model shift

As the district communicated yesterday in its COVID learning model update, we are in a rapidly changing and very fluid situation. We are in daily communication with MDE and our public health partners. Working together we are monitoring our internal numbers and the Carver County numbers to make sure we are responding quickly to any changes in order to protect the health and safety of students and staff.

In consultation with MDH and Carver County Public Health today, based on recent positive cases and related quarantines, La Academia and Kinder Academy will shift to a distance learning model for a two-week quarantine starting Monday, November 9. Given the end of the quarantine period is so close to Thanksgiving break, already a short week, we would anticipate a return to in-person learning on December 1. The La Academia building will be closed during this timeframe and all child care and preschool will be canceled in that building until December 1. This change only impacts LaAcademia and Kinder Academy.

La Academia and Kinder Academy family and staff have received additional information and details for support while they are temporarily in distance learning.
