Eastern Carver County School District is excited to name Matt Brain as the next Executive Director of Human Resources. He will start his role August 12, and follows Givonna Koné, who is leaving the district for a position in county government.
Brain served most recently as Director of Employee Services for the Anoka-Hennepin School District. Brain also has K-12 leadership experience, serving as a principal, assistant principal, and teacher in the elementary setting in both Minnesota and Wisconsin. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, his master’s from the University of Wisconsin-Superior, and his educational specialist degree from the University of Concordia - St. Paul.
Brain earned the position following a rigorous and thorough interview process that included multiple rounds of interviews with various stakeholders. His experience as a human resources leader as well as his K-12 background make him an excellent fit for Eastern Carver County Schools.
