Victor Johnson named new principal at Chaska High School for 2026-27 school year

New principal announcement at Chaska High School is Victor Johnson

Eastern Carver County School District is excited to name Victor Johnson as the next principal of Chaska High School. Johnson will join the ECCS community on July 1, 2026, and succeeds Jim Bach, who is retiring at the end of this year.

Johnson has 14 years of diverse experience in education. He is currently serving as associate principal at Eden Prairie High School, a position he has held since 2020. Prior to joining Eden Prairie Schools he was an assistant principal at Osseo Senior High, and has worked as an English and multilingual language teacher at the middle and high school levels. He earned his bachelor’s in English and master’s degrees in Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and is pursuing his doctorate in Leadership and Learning in Organizations from Vanderbilt University.

Johnson earned the position following a rigorous and thorough interview process. His deep experience and commitment to student success, improving outcomes for all students, and fostering a strong and welcoming culture make him an outstanding addition to our Chaska High School team.
