Eastern Carver County School District is excited to name Dr. Greg Martin as the next principal of Chaska Middle School East. Martin will start his role July 1, and follows Beth Holm, who is assuming the principalship of Bluff Creek Elementary.
Martin has over a decade of experience in education, serving most recently as an associate principal at Mounds View High School and Elk River High School. Prior to that, he worked as a middle and high school teacher, coach, and student management specialist within Osseo and Watertown Mayer Public Schools. In addition to his secondary education experience, Martin has served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of St. Thomas and Saint Mary’s University since 2015.
He earned his bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Minnesota and his educational specialist and doctorate of education degrees from the University of St. Thomas. In summer of 2021, Martin will receive a certificate in School Management and Leadership from Harvard University.
Martin earned the position following a rigorous and thorough interview process that began with more than 55 applicants and included multiple rounds of interviews with various stakeholders. His experience and commitment to academic excellence for every student make him an excellent fit for Chaska Middle School East. We are proud to welcome Greg to our community of learners, teachers, and all who work to benefit young people.
