Voting Information

Election Day is Tues. Nov. 5. Learn more about voting – including how to register – at mnvotes.org.

Absentee and early voting is available beginning Sept. 20. You no longer need a special reason to take advantage of early voting.

You must reside in Eastern Carver County district boundaries to vote in the special election.

Vote early by mail – Absentee

The first step is to download, print, complete and send in your absentee ballot application. Ballot applications may be returned per the instructions on the second page of the application — by mail, email (vote2019@district112.org) or fax.

Once the application is received, an absentee ballot will be mailed to you with instructions (beginning Sept. 20). Mail your ballot back in the pre-paid, pre-addressed envelope that was provided with your ballot materials. Ballots must be received by Nov. 4. The ballot cannot be returned to the polling place, it must be mailed in.

 

Vote early in person

You can vote early in person at the District Education Center, Welcome Center at 11 Peavey Road in Chaska from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mon.-Fri., Sept. 20-Nov. 4.

Extended hours at the District Education Center:

  • Thursday, Oct. 24, 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 26, 8 a.m. – 11 a.m.

 

Vote on November 5th in person

Polls will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tues., Nov. 5.
