The ECCS Difference

Families choose Eastern Carver County Schools for a reason. Maybe it’s the intentionality with which our communities built and supported a district of smaller schools – including two traditional high schools – that allows for more opportunities for students and closer relationships between staff and students. Maybe it’s the layers of support embedded in our schools, with specialists that allow for robust fine arts and music programs and media centers that are more than just places to check out books, strengths in our district many of our neighbors don’t enjoy. Or maybe it’s the uniqueness that comes from the four cities that make our district strong. Whatever it is – the Eastern Carver County Schools difference is one we’re proud of.

At Eastern Carver County Schools, students are our purpose. We prepare them for success, whether that’s in college, a career, the military, or wherever their path takes them after graduation. The relationships built in our classrooms, principal to student, teacher to student, and student to student, last a lifetime. The opportunities afforded in a system with three middle schools and two traditional high schools means our students get a world-class education and incredible opportunities on the field, stage, and everything in between. Media specialists are integral to the school community

Media specialists support students and staff

At ECCS, our media specialists are far more than "librarians" - they are teachers, mentors, advisors, and for many students, a trusted adult in the building. Our district's investment in our media specialists sets us apart from many of our neighbors. This is another ECCS Difference at risk if the referendum does not pass.

Two high schools, double the athletic and activity opportunity

It's double the opportunity with the Hawks and Storm

At Eastern Carver County Schools, we are proud that 94% of high school students are engaged in a district-sponsored or student led activity outside of their classroom learning. Our community’s investment in two traditional high schools and one alternative high school means that our students have double the opportunities to succeed – on the field, on the stage, and everywhere in between. If the referendum fails, those opportunities will likely be impacted by a reduction in staff in our athletics and activities departments.
